We have completed this new design, an outboard engine powered runabout, with a length of 5.5 m., and designed as a day-cruiser as well as for deportive and pleasure fishing.
The price for keeping a boat in the water is increasing continuously, and the high price for the petrol is preventing many sailors from using their boats. The new model proposed by Astilleros Lagos takes up the philosophy of craft built by our boatyard more than 50 years ago, in which prevailed the speed and economy of operation, which was achieved through careful design and construction to produce a hull as light as possible. This accomplished boats that could reach high speeds with very small engines, and given their weight and size, they could be easily taken out of water and towed by any vehicle.
We can build this boat with the interior layout to suit the owner, and the choice between two materials, wood, or composites, using a novel technique that uses composite panels (fiberglass epoxy-resin-core) to minimize weight.
